Case Studies:

Stummercamp

Music festival held annually at Grove ParkStrummercamp is an annual, three day music festival celebrating the life, music and influence of Joe Strummer and the Clash.

The main stages are housed in two large marquees situated within the first team rugby stadium. This provides a very large fenced, access controlled area which also acts as a secure area for people to pitch tents. Camper vans etc. can be accommodated on other rugby pitches which can also provide overspill parking to the extensive car parks. People camping over night have the benefit of using the Squash & Rugby changing and shower facilities.

Grove Park provide smart bar tents with a good selection of draught beers and One of the marquees within the fenced stadium with camping areas in the backgroundspeciality ales. The catering tent provides an extensive range of food with support from the kitchens within the clubhouse. All this retails at sensible prices.

The main function room is also utilized as an auxiliary stage. The main bar and both the 1860 and Presidents are also used.

To supplement our professional bar and catering staff, Grove Park provide numerous volunteers to steward and help keep this incredibly friendly event running smoothly.

Firework Extravaganza & Halloween Night 2008Firework Extravaganza & Halloween Night

In partnership with the Seashell Trust (formerly The Royal School for the Deaf and Communication Disorders) this event attracted 800 people.

The large playing fields offered plenty of space to stage the bonfire and firework display in safety. Outside catering, refreshment and full bar facilities were provided close to the action. The top car park area between the clubhouse and fields was used for fairground rides and attractions. This still left generous car parking further down the drive.

Many volunteers from Grove Park helped to steward the event and ensure the event takes place safely.

The Waitrose Fun day
